Edgar Cayce’s Grounding Coin Helps Prevent Colds

Edgar Cayce's carbon steel coins

There was a single reading where Edgar Cayce recommended carrying a piece of carbon steel at the level of the root chakra to help with various conditions:

“Do not take this as being something of superstition, or as something that would be a good luck charm, – but if the entity will wear about its person, or in its pocket, a metal that is carbon steel – preferably in the groin pocket – it will prevent, it will ionize the body– from its very vibrations – to resist cold, congestion, and those inclinations for disturbance with the mucous membranes of the throat and nasal passages.”

– Edgar Cayce Reading #1842-1

Pieces of carbon steel were traditionally sold as a round “coin” to prevent “Colds”, but the reading itself did not have specifications as to size and shape. Sometimes Cayce provided further advice that didn’t make it into the archives.

When that nuclear reactor in Japan broke, James Knochel talked to his machine shop to see about making some coins for him. He calls his version a ‘Cold’ Grounding Coin, because it helps improve the body’s energetic connection to the earth. Each coin is individually-cut from a 1-inch bar of high-carbon tool steel.

Cayce Grounding Pendant

James also makes a Cayce Grounding Pendant, because people kept asking him to drill holes in the coins.

The A.R.E. Official Supplier’s trademarked ‘coin’ is stamped from sheet steel and branded with their trademark and a latin quote. Some people object to the quotes and branding.
